Majority of our yarns are spun 8/1, staple length 100% cotton, 50/50% polycotton or 100% brushed polyester. Color yarns are dyed in non-polluting factories with latest dying techniques. The dye processes vary with the basic material and color, and produce garment grade quality with excellent bleed, crocking, UV and sun-fade characteristics. Generally everything fades in sunlight, and of course the rate of fade depends on amount of exposure, dye color and material. Generally, cotton is the most comfortable, polycotton the best compromise and polyester more durable but slightly less comfortable. They all are good materials with varying characteristics. We also are able to fabricate Nicamaka®s® with other yarns such as silk, wool, rayon, etc. with volume orders and with extra lead time for research & development time. Hand Twisting or Cabling of Cording: Support-arm cords are 3 twist of 14 strands of 8/1 yarn. Bed-cords are 3 twists of 7 strands of 8/1 yarn. Crochet-cords are 3 twists of 3 strands of 8/1 yarn |
